Dear KImberly Moore,
My son David Amezrua goes to Pasadena Rosebud Academy and we were devastated when we found out that we lost our home and the school that my child attends as well as my sister and many friends, This really have been a very difficult time as we lost everything especially our stentimental stuff.
We just found an apartment 2 days ago and because we were back and forth from the shelter and our friends home, we didn't have time to ask or go to donation centers and now we do.
If you can help us with getting a bunk bed, someone did give us a mattress and have them on the floor. We also need a blender, a coffee maker, desk and chair, 2 blankets, towels, a book shelf.
My 3 kids lost all their book collections like, dogman and Harry potter to name some of them. We also need toilet paper and paper towels.
Any help would be really appreciated.
Thank you,
Maria
Maria (mom) and 3 children
I spoke with Maria on the phone, and instead of bunk beds, they will need a daybed. The family is also in need of essential household items such as bedding, blankets, a coffee maker, a blender, toilet paper, and paper towels—just to name a few for now. They will also need some furniture pieces, and I will be meeting with them soon to gather more details and update their letter to ensure all their needs are met.
At this time, we estimate that $2,500 in new and gently used items, along with in-kind donations, may help cover their needs. I will provide an updated list after visiting their new apartment.
For those in Los Angeles interested in adopting their letter and personally handling the shopping, please email me at info@kimberlymoorefoundation.org.
Your generosity starts at $500, and you can donate multiple times until we reach our goal for each family. Together, we can restore hope—donors are also invited to join us in delivering these much-needed items to the families they support. Thank you!
