Dear Kimberly Moore,
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to inform you of a devastating
incident that has recently impacted my family of 7. Our house was totally burnt down by the
Eaton Fire in Altadena, resulting in a total loss and leaving us in urgent need of support as
we work to rebuild our lives.
The fire has left us without many of our essential belongings, and we are seeking
assistance to address our immediate needs. Any help you can provide will be greatly
appreciated.
Items we need:
1. Personal Hygiene Products:
○ Ivory soap
○ Pantene shampoo and conditioner
○ Feminine hygiene products
2. Hair Supplies:
○ Flat irons
○ Curling irons
○ Little girls' hair accessories
○ Hair Brushes and Combs
3. Adult Skin Care Products
4. Groceries:
○ Non-perishable food items
○ Fresh produce
5. Household Items:
○ Bedding (sheets, blankets, pillows)
○ Towels
○ Basic kitchen utensils

We are currently looking for a more stable housing situation and are close to
finding an apartment.
We will need furniture to furnish a full house.
Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity during this challenging time. Your
support will make a significant difference in helping us recover and rebuild our lives.
Sincerely,

Danielle (Mom), 2 boys (age 3, 10), Grandma and sister
Danielle and her family lost everything in the fire, including their home and guest house, where her mother, nephew, and sister were living. They are currently staying together in an Airbnb and hope to find an apartment as a family by March 2025.
She has two young boys—a 3-year-old (size 4T) and a 10-year-old (size 9/10)—whose school in Altadena was also destroyed in the fire. While they received some clothing to get by at the shelter, they will need more once they settle into their new home.
In addition to personal and household essentials, they will need to furnish their entire home. Based on the number of in-kind donations we receive, the total estimated cost for items ranges between $5,000 and $8,000.
If you’re in Los Angeles and would like to adopt Danielle's letter by personally handling the shopping, we can arrange for pickup and delivery of the items when ready. Please feel free to email me directly at info@kimberlymoorefoundation.org.
Your generosity starts at $500, and you can donate multiple times until we reach our goal for each family. Together, we can restore hope—donors are also invited to join us in delivering these much-needed items to the families they support. Thank you!
